Kuélap
The Peruvian jungle has many attractions and one of them is Kuelap, a fortified Citadel of stone which was built by the Chachapoyas preinca culture thousand years ago.
It rises to three thousand meters above the sea level and its walls reach 25 meters in height, although not known with certainty if they were built as defence or ceremonial center. Its carved rocks, unlike the Inca design, stand out for their geometric style with marked anthropomorphic figures and animals.
Many travellers have considered her new Machu Picchu.
